Saturday, March 20, 2004 The UCSB Center for Middle East Studies announces a call for papers for its Sixth Annual Middle East Studies Conference.
CMES accepts proposals for papers, organized panels, and workshops pertaining to the study of the ancient, medieval, and contemporary
Middle East and its languages. Proposals are especially welcome on language pedagogy, ancient Near Eastern languages and cultures, space,
visual culture, art, architecture, media, popular culture, ethnomusicology, Middle Eastern religions, politics, war and conflict, peacemaking, women
