Lecture on Post-Elections Iraq
and Her Recent Book

Trudy Rubin is the foreign affairs columnist for The Philadelphia Inquirer, and has reported on the Middle East for over thirty years. She has made five trips to Iraq in the last two years, and recently returned from covering the Iraqi elections. Her 2004 book, Willful Blindness: The Bush Administration and Iraq, is a compilation of her columns from 2002 to 2004 in which she critically assesses the path to war, Bush Administration policy in Iraq, and the perilous consequences.

Attendance at all panels and other events is free, but you must pre-register by using the form below. Meals are free for official panelists. For those who want to dine at the group meals, a buffet lunch of pasta and salads will be $10 and served at 12:30 PM at the UCSB MultiCultural Center. There will be a no host dinner at Zeytoon Restaurant, 209 East Canon Perdido, Santa Barbara at 7:00 PM. Meal reservations must be made before Tuesday March 15, 2005. Please pay by check made out to "UC Regents" and sent to: Meals, Center for Middle East Studies, University of California, Santa Barbara, CA 93106-3130. You will receive a meal ticket in return.
